We are so excited to bring our 12th annual GSA Conference, Roots of Care, to 2SLGBTQIA+ and allied junior high and high school students (ages 12-18) in Nova Scotia within Mi’kma’ki This year’s virtual conference will happen over two days, on November 26th and 27th over Zoom.
We are excited to announce this year’s Keynote Speaker, Erin Novakowski of Cripple Media (aka wheelierin on tiktok). They are a Calgary based 20, year old content creator, writer, and student, as well as full-time power wheelchair user, service dog handler, and self proclaimed “professional online oversharer.” This year’s theme “Roots of Care” will be a starting point for exciting and memorable conversations and workshops around many aspects of care, community, and Disability Justice. We are sending out kits with mental health and self care supplies before the conference so make sure to sign up soon! Registration closes November 23rd.
